The game was originated in Hong Kong and spread throughout the world wherever Chinese lives. It was believed that a group of movie stars invented the game originally. Wikipedia has a reference on this game at this link. The game is quite simple to learn and yet not easy to mastered. It has the strategies of Chess, Bridge and Poker all combined. It is very much a gambling game originally but most Chinese nowadays play Big2 as a recreational card came. You can learn how to play this game using the on-line Java Applet game on this site.
